JoAnn Stonier serves as President at The Cantellus Group, where she focuses on data, AI, and privacy strategy. She previously served as Chief Data Officer and Chief Privacy Officer at Mastercard, and as a Fellow of Data & AI. A globally recognized data strategist and lawyer, JoAnn brings deep expertise in AI, data governance, privacy, and responsible data design. She has advised executives, governments, and NGOs on commercial and non-profit solutions with a focus on practical regulatory implementation.

JoAnn has led major global initiatives on data and AI, including serving as Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Councils on Data Policy and Data Equity, Chair of the USCIB Data Policy Group, and Member of the UN Expert Group on Governance and AI. She teaches at Carnegie Mellon University and Pratt Institute and serves as a board and strategic advisor to Omnicom Group, Keebo, Lytical Ventures, Elementum, and the Institute for Advertising Ethics.
